The second day of the waiting period for the Rip Curl Pro Portugal, here in Peniche was also a lay day. The swell was really small and there was strong onshore winds making them close-out even faster.

But despite the second lay day in row, the organizers took good care of the fun on the beach.  You were able to ride a tube from broken surfboards, plastic bags and take a picture even in the real one. There is also a lot of beautiful hostes girls fro different sponsor companies to chat about and with them.

After the duck dive session on Thursday, there was a change on the horizon. Kaja was leaving home, as her month long surf trip has ended. We said good-bye on the beach, surfers style like. I only know this girl for a week or so, but really was pleasantly relaxing spending time with her, meeting in Peniche. And as she left the kind of feeling of meeting again soon some random place again when she left. Cool stuff 😉

It’s amazing . . . in just 10 hours after leaving my home of birth to my home of choice, Portugal. It took me, my and my friends Domen, Ana, Samir and Lea 4 different types of transportation, but still . . . The path trough half the Europe was swift indeed.

Must’ve been such a sight to be seen, as even the picture looks awesome. Truly amazing animals, who also looooove sufring 😉

SharkSkin Wetsuite was put to the test, before the ocean once more. This time on a paddle training afternoon at the heart of the Alps, Lake Bohinj. I am starting to love this wet-suite more and more, as it continues to amaze me, more and more.  Every time I put it on this pleasant, non-tight, warm feeling wet-suit, it feels just great. The thing about this wet suit is that it has all the advantages of a normal 3/2 wet suit on, but feeling like you have nothing on. Really a perfect feeling of freedom.
